Camp Will Be Starting!
Summer is just around the corner! We have a great counselor helping us out at 2-Jo’s this year. Her name is Alyson Clark! She has been hang’in around 2-Jo’s for some time now. She is a student at Kirkwood in Equine Science. So we would like to welcome her to camp! We have some great deals this year to help with the economy! $40 off each child! Also if your child needs extra assistance with camp fees please call Jodi at 319-551-3660.

A GREAT YEAR AT CAMP!
We had a great year at Day Camp this summer! We rope twirled, line danced, rode horses, sang, and so much more, and had a blast with the new theater!We had a new baby, Wolly Uffda a baby buffalo. Some great special guests came to visit, thanks to them. We also had some awesome field trips! The kids love Tahlia, she was a great helper! Thanks Tahlia! And Thanks to all the great kids that came to camp this year, you were great sports to let the flood kids join in!
Free Day Camp For Flood Families
We are sponsoring a free day camp for children of flood victims. Kings & Queens bus service is donating a bus, driver & gas to help shuttle children to the camp. The bus will leave at 9:30 am from K-Mart West parking lot and will arrive back by 4:20 pm. Parents should call Jodi Philipp @ 319-551-3660 to reserve a spot. You must call first, the bus will not be in the lot untill we have booked it full. The camp will run as long as needed. 2-Jo’s wishes to thank Kings & Queens for their great donation! You also may transport your own child but please call Jodi first to reserve room for your child. We would also like to thank Mike the bus driver for donating his time for the kids! What great folks!
Field Trip
June 2008-First we had lunch at the mexican restaurant, then We went to the pet store after helping Barnes & Noble with the book fair! The animals at the pet store are very cool!
Barnes & Noble Event
June 9, 2008- We helped Barnes & Noble with the summer book fair. We all had fun and we got to have a book to read this summer.
It’s DONE!!!!
I Give you the………. YE OLD BROOM BARN THEATER! Boy are we going to have fun with this at camp and theater club! It is in the big hayloft of the 100 year old barn. We even have tables and chairs for a dinner theater! We need some actors folks!
Day Camp Volunteer Counselors
This year we have some past campers that will be camp helpers. We have Hannah who is 11yrs old, in 6th grade in the Linn-Mar school district. She loves horses, animals, volleyball, basketball, singing, dancing, and SCHOOL! Really? She also loves attending Riverside Bible Camp & 2-Jo’s Farm! (her words folks) We are lucky to have Hannah join us. She is a great girl with alot of talent!
We also have Victoria helping out. She too is alot of fun and has great talent. She has been all over the world with her family and has many interests. She loves animals and is great with our younger campers. She is a super student in Benton school Dis. She also is a big help to Santa at Christmas! One of Santas elves was sick last year and Vic filled in and helped out! Santa said she did a GREAT job!
Macey I did not forget you! Im sad to say Macey will be moving later in the summer, but she will be helping with camp before she moves. Macey has been a great help to 2-Jo’s for everything! She was a helper last year for camp, has helped with events, and even went with Santa on most of his runs this year! We are going to miss her when she moves, but untill then…………..Macey! GET OVER TO 2-JO’S FOR CAMP!
Meet Tahlia !!
This year we have a new Day Camp counselor joining us at 2-Jo’s Farm & Western Town. Tahlia Booz is from Philadelphia, PA. She moved to Iowa to attend school. Her major is Veterinarian Technician. She will be getting married on May 27th, 2008 to Joel Philipp in Mexico! She has a English Mastiff named Ruby Monroe! Tahlia is a great girl and lots of fun! I know all you kids are going to love her as much as we do! Welcome Tahlia!
